wuji record teleop records a running Wuji Glove → Wuji Hand 2 teleoperation session into an MCAP file for offline replay and analysis. The recorder attaches read-only to the shared sessions the teleoperation program already holds. It never sends control commands and never takes over a device. Start the teleoperation program first, then run the recording command in a second terminal.

Record a Teleoperation Session

The recording holds a fixed teleoperation channel preset: emf_poses and hand_skeleton from the Wuji Glove, global tf and tf_static, joint_command and joint_states from the Wuji Hand 2, plus joint_diagnostics when it’s available.

Stop a Recording

Press Ctrl+C once, then wait for the final result. The CLI saves the recording locally, and the teleoperation program keeps running. Don’t force-quit the command while the recording finalizes, or the recording may be incomplete. A final recording status of partial means the recording has missing data or another problem. Use the warnings in the output to decide whether to record again.

Output Formats

The default output shows progress during the recording and reports status, duration, file size, and output path when it finishes. A successful recording also lists the follow-up commands for reviewing and exporting recordings. --json emits only the final result. --jsonl emits the events during the recording and the final result, one per line.

Export a Recording

Date filtering never pulls a recording into a support bundle. Select each one explicitly with the repeatable --recording flag:
Take RUN_ID from the output of wuji record list. Pass --recording several times to export several recordings at once. For the rest of the bundle, see Log Export.

Storage and Privacy

Each run is stored under ~/.wuji/recordings/<RUN_ID>/ as manifest.json and recording.mcap. The MCAP and its manifest hold raw motion and control data. The files stay on your machine until you export or share them.
