# Installation and Environment

## System Requirements

The Python SDK supports Python 3.10 and later. The C SDK provides prebuilt packages for Linux x86\_64, Linux aarch64, and Android aarch64. Choose the C SDK tarball for your target platform.

| Platform | C SDK package |
| - | - |
| Linux x86\_64 (gnu) | `wuji-sdk-c-<version>-x86_64-linux-gnu.tar.gz` |
| Linux aarch64 (gnu) | `wuji-sdk-c-<version>-aarch64-linux-gnu.tar.gz` |
| Android aarch64 | `wuji-sdk-c-<version>-aarch64-android.tar.gz` |

<Info>
  After installing the SDK, configure the connection and network for your device type. See [Device Discovery and Connection](/en/docs/wuji-sdk/device-connection/).
</Info>

## Installation

Choose the SDK for your project language. You can install the Python SDK or the C SDK independently, and you don't need to install both.

### Install the Python SDK

Install `wuji-sdk` from PyPI:

```bash theme={null}
pip install wuji-sdk
```

Confirm that Python can import the package:

```bash theme={null}
python -c "import wuji_sdk"
```

### Install the C SDK

Download the tarball for your target platform from [GitHub Releases](https://github.com/wuji-technology/wuji-sdk/releases). Each package contains `lib/libwuji_sdk_c.so`, `include/wuji_sdk.h`, and the license file.

The following example targets Linux x86\_64. Replace `<TAG>` with a Release tag and change `SDK` for your target platform:

```bash theme={null}
TAG="<TAG>"
VER="${TAG#v}"
SDK="wuji-sdk-c-${VER}-x86_64-linux-gnu"
curl -L "https://github.com/wuji-technology/wuji-sdk/releases/download/${TAG}/${SDK}.tar.gz" | tar xz
```

`${SDK}` is the extracted tarball root. Pass the following parameters to CMake to point to the SDK header and shared library:

```bash theme={null}
cmake -S examples/c/wuji_glove -B build \
  -DWUJI_SDK_INCLUDE_DIR="${SDK}/include" \
  -DWUJI_SDK_LIB="${SDK}/lib/libwuji_sdk_c.so"
cmake --build build
```

For the complete C SDK download, build, and example instructions, see the [C SDK Reference](/en/docs/wuji-sdk/c-sdk-reference/).

## Verify the Installation

Choose the SDK you installed and run the corresponding check:

<Tabs>
  <Tab title="Python">
    ```bash theme={null}
    python -c "from wuji_sdk import SdkManager"
    ```
  </Tab>

  <Tab title="C">
    ```bash theme={null}
    test -f "${SDK}/include/wuji_sdk.h" && test -f "${SDK}/lib/libwuji_sdk_c.so" && echo "C SDK is ready"
    ```
  </Tab>
</Tabs>

After installing Wuji CLI, check device discovery with:

```bash theme={null}
wuji devices
wuji ping
```

## Interface Checklist
